Commercial property developer Barberry Industrial has completed work on a new multi-million-pound warehouse near Bristol.
Barberry developed the 44,500 sq ft unit at its mid-box logistics scheme at Severn Road, Avonmouth, on a build-to-suit basis after a pre-sale deal, for an undisclosed sum, with The Hill Company.
Known as Barberry 44, the new unit is located at Central Park on a 4.23-acre site between junction one of the M49 and junction 17 of the M5, situated alongside a recently constructed speculative 14,000 sq ft warehouse unit also recently let to Vertical Aerospace.
Barberry has used the latest environment-friendly technology to minimize the dependency on fossil fuels and help to reduce CO2 emissions and the costs of occupation for its customers.
The Hill Company is a document storage, scanning and shredding specialist which is dedicated to records management. It operates state-of-the-art secure records centres using industry leading technology.
Jon Robinson, development director at West Midlands-based Barberry, said: "We are delighted to welcome our latest customer Hill Company to Barberry 44, a state-of-the-art unit with excellent environment-friendly credentials situated at the South West’s premier distribution location.
"We have constructed the unit as part of a built-to-suit turnkey package to The Hill Company’s precise requirements after agreeing a pre-sale deal before work got underway on site. We are excited to announce we have now reached practical completion of the development and we look forward to seeing The Hill Company thrive in its fantastic new facility, aiding them in progressing their impressive business expansion throughout the UK."
