Hounslow Council and the NHS has appointed Willmott Dixon to develop a state-of-the art £40 million health centre in Chiswick.

The Chiswick Health Centre will replace an existing facility to provide a modern local community healthcare environment for residents with a broader range of GP services, including community and mental health services. It was designed by Allies & Morrison and continues Willmott Dixon's role in the London borough, which includes the Brentford Block D and Frank Towell Court housing developments for Hounslow.

The new facility will include consulting and examination rooms, district nurse facilities and community rooms. Further features include a public community garden, private landscaped central courtyard and fifth floor terrace and gardens to support local ecology and provide outdoor recreation space. It will also deliver 55 affordable homes for key health workers such as nurses and physiotherapists.

Councillor Tom Bruce, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Development at Hounslow Council, said: "I am delighted that residents in Chiswick will benefit from a new state-of-the-art health facility. We want all residents in Hounslow to enjoy good health and this is a concrete example of us working with the NHS to achieve this goal."

All three practices currently operating from the site – Chiswick Family Doctors, Chiswick Health, and West 4 GPs – have supported the project, which aims to ensure thousands of Chiswick residents can look forward to better health outcomes.

The new Health Centre is set to open in Autumn 2024 and was procured through Pagabo's Major Works Framework.
