Property and construction consultancy Gleeds has appointed Barry Keogh as director responsible for its newly founded Dublin operation.
The move will enable the business to expand its reach across Ireland, while supporting the existing office in Belfast with its rapidly increasing workload.
Barry has extensive local knowledge, bringing with him over 30 years’ experience in delivering capital projects in the public and private sectors, both throughout Ireland and internationally. He boasts impressive project management, financial, governance, and project control skills which he honed on some of the city’s most iconic schemes, including the AVIVA Stadium, the National Convention Centre, and the expansion of St James’ Gate Brewery.
His appointment signifies Gleeds' expansion into the Republic of Ireland market. As director heading up the new region, his focus will be on growing Gleeds’ presence in the logistics, commercial, and residential sectors in the short-term. While in its infancy, the office will also support the well-established Belfast operation with ongoing programmes for a number of private and public sector clients who are active in the market.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: "This is a hugely exciting time for Gleeds and an exciting time for me personally, having been charged with heading up the latest Irish office. We have set ourselves some ambitious growth targets and I'm confident that the market here is going to respond well to Gleeds’ broad offering, blending local expertise and global perspective. I'm looking forward to serving existing and new clients and building a successful team here in Dublin."
