Wynne Construction has commenced work on the second stage of a flagship transformation of a Wrexham college campus.

The company has commenced construction of a new £14 million health and wellbeing facility which will provide high-quality health and social care education on Coleg Cambria’s Yale campus. Appointed through the North Wales Construction Partnership Framework, Wynne Constructionhas initiated preparation works for the laying of the foundations, following the demolition of the existing building at the junction of Chester Road and Powell Road.

The three-storey development, which is projected to be completed by the summer of 2024, will include a fully furnished and industry-standard commercial spa and juice bar as well as facilities for simulated medical wards and virtual reality environments. An additional alternative therapy hub will also allow students and the wider community to gain access to treatments focused on alleviating mental and physical ailments such as anxiety and depression.
