Britcon (UK) has opened a new office in Stockton-on-Tees following a number of project wins in the region.
Britcon, which has its headquarters in Scunthorpe and regional office in Wakefield, has won new contracts in the education sector, including the building of a new college and a school. It also has a pipeline of other work opportunities in the region across a variety of sectors.
Britcon Managing Director Nick Shepherd said: "This is an exciting time for our business, as we see many opportunities in the North, which is due in part to the Levelling Up work that is taking place in the public and private sector. We have worked within the region for many years and have an established local supply chain, there is great potential for us to grow further in the commercial and industrial sectors in this area.
"We are delighted to open our new premises in Stockton-on-Tees, which will help us to extend our operations in the North East which will create new jobs and safeguard existing jobs in the area."
In addition to the new office, Britcon has also appointed two new board directors: Matthew Searston as commercial director and Lee Noble as operations director.
Searston has more than 25 years' experience in the construction sector, starting his career as a quantity surveyor and working in a number of commercial manager and commercial director roles in the construction sector, before joining Britcon three years ago.
Noble joined Britcon in 2021 as senior contracts manager for civils and infrastructure, with 20 years' experience in the construction sector, and has held a number of management roles in Tier 1 construction businesses in both the civils and water sector.
