Deeley Construction has completed work a new multi-million-pound regional office for a national housebuilder in Tewkesbury.

The firm completed the construction of a new, modern, sustainable, 18,000 sq ft regional office for housing group Bloor Homes.

The two-storey building has been named Rudgeway House and will house more than 40 staff, with additional space for sales and site-based staff to work from the office.

It will also act as a regional training hub for Bloor Homes, with a range of meeting rooms available to meet the business’s training requirements. This includes a training room with a capacity of between 70 and 80 people.

Rudgeway House also provides a social hub for staff at Bloor Homes. It will facilitate the growth of the company’s workforce and is set to create further job opportunities in the Tewkesbury Borough.

Deeley Construction has completed the development to BREEAM 'Very Good' status, reflecting the sustainability credentials of the development.

The green credentials of the building are enhanced by the inclusion of 100 square metres of solar panels, a cycle shelter to encourage employees to cycle to work and 10 twin outlet electric vehicle charging points for the use of 20 cars in the 66-space car park.

A belt of trees and native species hedgerow has also been planted on the southern side of the development.

Bloor Homes Western's staff have now moved into the new regional office, after 14 years operating from its former Furrowfield Park premises.

Steve Roberts, Regional Managing Director at Bloor Homes, said: "The completion of our new regional office here signals a continued commitment to Tewkesbury and provides our staff in the region with a new modern, spacious and flexible workspace.

"We are proud that many of our office-based staff are based locally and by building our new office in such an easily accessible location it means that many of them will be able to use alternative means of travel to get to work such as walking or cycling, which is ultimately more sustainable and will reduce peak-time traffic in the area.

"It has been a pleasure to work with all of the team at Deeley Construction and their sub-contractors throughout the build period.

"Our staff have now moved into the office and it has been incredibly well received, it is a great home for our regional operations and also provides the perfect space to help develop our teams through training delivery."
