Morgan Sindall Construction has unveiled the location of its new office in Newcastle.
The company has taken residence at Rotterdam House, a Grade A city centre office development occupying a prominent waterfront position on Newcastle's Quayside.
The new base will enhance Morgan Sindall’s operations and ensure optimum delivery for projects throughout the North East and Cumbria.
The move will create over 25 jobs – both office and site based – to support the North East’s team growing pipeline of projects, with several to be announced in the coming months.
The new office will be headed up by Alex Isted, who was announced last year as the new regional director for the North East.
As part of its expansion in the North East, Morgan Sindall has appointed Darren Wellington as senior pre-construction manager for the region. Darren brings over thirty years of his experience to his role, having previously worked at Laing O'Rourke and VINCI.
Darren commented: "I'm delighted to join Morgan Sindall and look forward to working as part of the leadership team as we grow our presence across the North East and Cumbria."
James Garnett, who has delivered a variety of exciting schemes for Morgan Sindall, has also been appointed as operations director, responsible for delivery excellence across all live projects.
The Rotterdam House site will operate according to Morgan Sindall’s Intelligent Solutions principles, which bring together digital and platform design capabilities with modern construction methods and innovative carbon reduction tools to create unique, sustainable, and inspiring places for its customers.
