Building Work Starts On New Car Showroom In Eastleigh

Construction work has commences on a new Hendy car showroom development on the former civic offices site on Leigh Road, Eastleigh.

The new Hendy Group car showroom will be home to Nissan, Renault and Dacia and is part of the second phase of the re-development of the old civic offices site and includes the construction of a car dealership comprising two showroom buildings and a car display courtyard on the site frontage. It also includes proposals for a workshop, rear service yard, two deck car parking, landscaping and access. Access to the site will be from Villeneuve St Georges Way.

Deputy Council Leader Cllr Ian Corben said: "Hendy is a long-standing local business and this exciting development brings more business investment into our borough. The new Hendy car showroom will provide additional jobs and opportunities for local people. It also brings a vacant brownfield site into viable use, provides economic benefits to the local area and supports an existing business."

The new showrooms are planned to be completed by Autumn 2023.
