Gateway14 Ltd has selected Winvic Construction to create a warehouse approaching 1.2m sq ft for garden and leisure products retailer, The Range.
The warehouse is to be built at the Gateway 14 development adjacent to Junction 50 of the A14 at Stowmarket, Suffolk.
Construction of the project, which is expected to create 1,650 jobs in the region, will start in January 2023 and is due to be completed in November 2023. Gateway 14 Ltd, that is wholly owned by Mid Suffolk District Council, has exchanged contracts with The Range to develop the distribution unit on a freehold turnkey basis, that will be led by Jaynic.

The landmark development, that was granted reserved matters consent in October, will provide a high specification building with sustainability a central feature including EV charging, LED lighting, solar PV, smart energy systems and rainwater harvesting.
The development is committed to meeting BREEAM rating of Very Good standard and strive for Excellent wherever possible. This new distribution facility will be designed to achieve BREEAM excellent.
Accessibility through and around the development is a key feature with significant walking and cycling routes being integrated along with access to public transport links and local amenities.
