Clayewater Homes has completed work on its largest development deal to date, a 58 unit site in Great Torrington, North Devon.
In partnership with Aster Group and Torridge District Council, Clayewater Homes has, this month, begun site clearance and construction of the new 100 percent affordable housing development, with 22 units offered as affordable rent and 36 as shared ownership.
The development, built over 4.2 acres of greenfield land, will comprise two, three and four-bedroom houses, including mid-terrace, end-terrace, semi-detached and detached. The development, which is due for completion in spring/summer 2024, will also include public open space and a children’s play area for residents and the wider local community to use.
Clayewater Homes works in partnership with a number of housing associations and is currently active on two sites in Bristol and another in north Devon, delivering a combined total of 104 affordable homes. The company is looking to increase its number of sites within an hour radius of Barnstaple and if Bristol, and is acquiring sites at various stages of the planning process.
