Three Play Areas Upgraded In Buckinghamshire

Construction News Image
Three play areas have been improved and upgraded following funding from Buckinghamshire Council and Section 106 contributions.

The three areas have benefited from £219,000 of funding in total, from the council's Play Area Improvement Programme which aims to provide safe and accessible play spaces for children aged between 2 and 14.

The play areas at Cottesloe Park, Haydon Hill Park and Walton Court Park have been upgraded with new play equipment and facilities, increasing the overall play value and experiences for local communities to enjoy.

Clive Harriss, Cabinet Member for Culture & Leisure said: "I am really pleased we have been able to make these improvements to three of our local play areas. We know how important parks and open spaces are for those with children. It’s so important for children of all ages and abilities to have access to safe and accessible spaces where they can run around and play freely."

The improvements were made following consultation with local communities who gave their suggestions and opinions on the proposals.
