Crest Nicholson Unveils New Development In Somerset

Housebuilder Crest Nicholson has unveiled a new development, Grange Meadows, in the rural village of Cannington, Somerset.

Offering a wide range of three, four and five bedroom homes, the development is ideal for a variety of purchasers from first time buyers to second steppers, growing families, and those looking to downsize.

Once complete, the development will consist of 73 properties from Crest Nicholson’s new range of house types, with the first residents expected to move in from summer. Located on the edge of the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, many homes will offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

One of the eight house types available is the three bedroom ‘Hatfield’ house type. With an open-plan kitchen-dining area and a separate living room, the property is perfect for entertaining, with French doors leading onto a private garden at the rear of the property. Upstairs, the main bedroom benefits from its own en-suite bathroom and built-in wardrobe, whilst the two further bedrooms share a family bathroom. The 'Hatfield' also has two parking spaces.

For growing families, the four bedroom 'Romsey', which will be the development’s show home when launched in the spring, provides flexible and generously-sized living spaces ideally suited for family life. The downstairs features both an open-plan kitchen-dining area, which benefits from a utility room, and a separate bright and airy living room. Upstairs, the Romsey offers four bedrooms and a family bathroom, with the main bedroom having access to its own en-suite. The home also provides a garage as well as parking for two vehicles.

This new range of house types on site includes a number of sustainable features and have been designed to improve heat retention. This efficient design not only reduces the energy required to keep a home warm – lowering electricity bills and carbon emissions for homeowners – but cuts down on material waste on site and the time it takes to build a home.

Clare Brimble, Sales and Marketing Director for South West, commented: "We are excited to have launched our new Grange Meadows development, with the first homes available to move into from summer. With a wide range of house types available, there is something for everyone. The show home, which is due to be launched later on in the spring, will also give purchasers the chance to get a real feel for what it would be like to live on the development.

"Crest Nicholson have previously launched a number of developments in Somerset, which have all have proven popular with buyers, so we’re excited to be building near Bridgwater for the first time. I grew up in the local area, so I am personally invested in the local community and look forward to working with residents throughout the lifecycle of the development. Grange Meadows will be perfect for those looking for a home in the countryside with the convenience of being near a wide range of amenities. For interested prospective buyers, we recommend registering your interest soon to avoid disappointment."

Located just 10 minutes from Bridgwater, Grange Meadows offers great commuter connections with road links to Taunton, Exeter, Bristol and the wider M5 corridor, while families are well catered for with a number of good primary and secondary schools nearby. Residents will also have access to a selection of shops and amenities on the nearby high street, while the Quantock Hills Area of Natural Beauty is just six miles away, offering plenty of opportunities for homeowners to make the most of the outdoors with a variety of walking and cycle trials.
