Repair work is to start on the Folly Bridge in Oxford.
Oxfordshire County Council is due to begin repair work on the historic bridge, which carries the A4144 Abingdon Road into the city centre, on Monday 28 March.
Most of the repairs will be carried out from beneath the bridge using floating pontoons, but there will be some excavation required from above, from 4 April.
The work will be carried out between 7.30am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with no noisy work happening before 8.30am. The western footway and edge of carriageway will need to be closed to complete the work.
Pedestrians will be diverted on to the carriageway, which will be narrowed, and traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals. These signals will be installed on 4 April and will be in place for up to four weeks, although the council will try to complete the repairs and remove the traffic restrictions as soon as possible.
