Plans To Develop 27 New Homes In Northfield Get The Go-Ahead

SevenHomes has been given the go-ahead from Birmingham City Council to deliver 27 new homes on the site of the former Ross House medical facility in Northfield.

The 2.4 acre brownfield site was previously classed as surplus land, enabling it to be redeveloped and given a new lease of life with capital raised being injected back into NHS services.

Located off Sheldon Road, the new development – The Crescent, will boast a range of two, three and four-bedroom family homes in terrace, detached and townhouse styles, with a gross development value (GDV) of £7.5 million. The intimate development will also include affordable properties at 75% market value.

Benefitting from good road and rail connectivity into Birmingham and close proximity to the M5/M42 motorway links, The Crescent is well positioned with an array of popular amenities nearby, including the multi-million-pound retail facilities in Longbridge, green spaces of Cofton Park and the popular Lickey Hills Country Park.

Jonathan Richards, Managing Director for SevenHomes, said: "We are thrilled to receive planning permission for this exciting new development and to give what is a currently unused site, a new lease of life whilst providing valuable funds for local NHS services.

"The Crescent will bring much needed new homes to the local area, offering the best of modern living whilst benefitting from excellent facilities and transport links to nearby Longbridge and Birmingham. Ideal for a wide range of purchasers, this select development in this desirable Birmingham suburb is indicative of a wider investment locally and will be a welcome additional to the local community."
