Bellway South West Appoints New Land Director

Bellway South West has appointed Sam Sowden as its new Land Director.

Sam will join the team in its Bristol-based offices.

Only 30 years old, Sam joins Bellway having previously worked for Bloor Homes and Barratt Developments, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and ambition.

Sam said: "Bellway has been on my radar for a while, as a market leader in the housebuilding industry, its reputation as a company stands out. I’m looking forward to working with the entire team here, and with our external partners.

"I like that the division has ambitious growth plans, and is looking to expand its presence in the South West of England starting with recent land acquisitions in Cullompton and Crediton.

"We've got a clear set of objectives and plans for growth as a business and that’s something I’m particularly looking forward to being part of. Bellway is actively seeking new development sites and would be pleased to discuss any suitable opportunities."

Sam is looking forward to engaging with his team to make sure everyone works together to achieve their potential.

He said: "I'm a real people person and a big believer in getting the best out of my team so they can individually progress within their role.

"I think it's really important to empower the team and lead from the front, which is something I plan to do within my role as Land Director at Bellway South West."
