SD Sealants has increased its turnover by 47% in 2021 compared with 2020.
Marking its fourth consecutive year of growth, SD Sealants, which provides sealant application, tiling services and cosmetic repairs for homeowners, house builders and commercial businesses, has also increased its headcount by 33% too.
SD Sealants also launched a claims service for insurance providers, as well as a marine arm in the past four years, as well as opening more branches across the north of England. It estimates that it carries out up to 22,000 projects a year.
Managing Director of SD Sealants, Nick Jones, said: "2020 and 2021 were very challenging years for the construction industry, which inevitably had a knock-on effect for us businesses that depend on those big contracts – but I am so pleased that with some forethought, good business planning and diversification, SD has bucked the trend and reported even more growth in 2021.
"These results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole SD team, from those working on site around the UK, as well as our great office and support staff at the head office in Caldicot, south Wales. We are the best in the business and that's down to the team that I am lucky enough to surround myself with."
Launched in 1973, SD Sealants and Cosmetic Repairs originated as a family run business in Somerset that specialised in the supply and application of sealant. Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength, becoming the UK’s largest sealant and finishing company, with offices across England, Scotland and Wales.
SD Sealants has also extended its services to include cosmetic building repairs, painting and decorating, as well as the marine and insurance claims arm.
