John Sisk & Son has appointed a new UK Framework Director.
Rebecca Hartshorn has over 20 years' of experience in both delivery and pre-construction roles, and has re-joined Sisk from Bowmer and Kirkland where she was Strategic Framework Lead. Rebecca previously worked at Sisk from 2017 for two years, when she held the roles of Bid Manager and Pre-Construction Manager.
Rebecca will be based in our Solihull office and will work closely with the SCAPE team on our recently formed partnership with the public sector framework provider, where we have been appointed to work on projects worth £75 million and above across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Rebecca takes on the role from Sisk's Preconstruction Director for UK North Kim Shevyn, who has worked closely with the SCAPE team to mobilise and establish our excellent working relationship. Kim will continue in his role as Preconstruction Director, and in the coming months he will work with Rebecca to ensure a smooth transition takes place.
Rebecca has a wide-reaching network of industry connections and involvement in industry groups and forums. She holds a British Empire Medal for services to skills and industry and sits on the FBE and East Midlands committee. Rebecca has been part of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) for over eight years and is also a fellow of the CIOB, having represented diversity and inclusion with them on special interest groups.
She said: "I am thrilled to be re-joining Sisk as Framework Director, leading on our recent appointment to Lot 7 of the SCAPE Framework. My role will enable me to work closely with my existing network of consultants, industry bodies and clients to create real value and foster collaboration for SCAPE. I am excited to share best practice with the other construction partners and look forward to forging new relationships across the SCAPE community. Having led projects through other Frameworks, including MMC for both public and private clients, I am looking forward to bringing my wealth of experience in early contractor engagement to SCAPE in order to drive Sisk's partnership forward and deliver some truly exciting schemes."
