Noise Exposure Survey By Sysco Environmental

Construction News Image
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 came into force and reduced the noise threshold at which occupational noise must be addressed in the workplace.

Too much noise exposure may cause a temporary change in hearing or a temporary ringing in your ears. These short-term problems usually go away within a few minutes or hours after leaving the affected area of noise. However, repeated exposures to loud noise from the day-to-day work in an affected environment can lead to permanent, incurable hearing loss, tinnitus, or other health issues.

At Sysco Environmental our Noise Exposure Survey will not only provide your company with information on your employee's exposure levels we also provide practical solutions and tailored advice based on your industry and individual needs and requirements.

Our Noise Exposure survey will also include:

• Evaluation of the use and suitability of existing hearing protection.

• Advice on the design and layout of the workplace to ensure low noise emission.

• Guidance and recommendations on the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions to comply with current Health and Safety compliance and regulations.

• Suggestion on noise relating training and health surveillance.

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 came into force to reduce the noise limit at which occupational noise can reach within the workplace. Our professionals help to protect the health of your employees from noise by firstly assessing the noise environment at your premises then in close cooperation with your appointed Health and Safety Manager design the most effective noise mitigation strategy. A noise risk assessment is required to identify the activities that may expose your employees to significant noise levels. Our noise assessment is undertaken by monitoring the environments day to day working practices and activities whilst using static and personal monitoring methods. The assessor will identify exposure hazards and determine whether the limits are being exceeded to protect employees.
