Ground engineering and construction company, Akela Group, has announced it is moving to new premises at Moorfield Business Park in Leeds.
The new premises will act as a hub in the North of England as the company rolls out its plans to expand before a UK audience.
The Akela Group currently operates across Scotland and is one of the country's largest multi-disciplinary construction services and civil engineering companies, with over 300 employees, including over 40 apprentices. The Group is headquartered in Glasgow and has been providing civil engineering, construction, piling and training solutions to clients in Scotland since 2003.
The Akela Group expects their business to grow by 10% over the next two years as a result of this move. The new Leeds team will be led by Construction Manager, Martin Leahy, who brings over 15 years industry experience having previously worked with the Robertson Group and Laing O’Rourke, delivering high-value projects for complex builds across a diverse range of sectors.
Akela Ground Engineering, part of the Akela Group, have secured and completed their first contract at Knaresborough in the North of Yorkshire and they are currently tendering for a variety of new housing and commercial build contracts throughout Yorkshire.
