Housing developer Genesis Homes has started work on the construction of 16 new homes at its new Pennine View site in the village of Calthwaite, between Penrith and Carlisle.
The scheme, which will feature three to five bedroom homes and three bedroom bungalows, and follows on from the launch of a similarly small scheme of 25 properties at Lonsdale Park, Hackthorpe, near Penrith.
In addition, the development is ideally located close to the M6 to allow easy transport access for commuters.
Genesis Homes' Managing Director, Nicky Gordon, said: "The beauty of creating low-density schemes such as this is the huge added value that buyers enjoy, such as larger gardens, stunning views and more privacy, that volume house builders may not be able to offer.
"Our customers are always at the forefront of our plans, and in Pennine View we are creating a stunning small development which will allow our buyers to enjoy some of the best views in the country.
"During the pandemic, people have reconsidered their lifestyles with an increased focus on well-being and enjoying more outdoor space, as well as enjoying more time spent in the home, and this development ticks all the boxes.
"With Calthwaite in the heart of the beautiful Eden Valley, the homes will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery and plenty of green space to explore, and the health benefits of natural light and green space is something we consider very seriously when designing our homes and developments."
