Homebuilder Redrow has commenced work at The Orchards at Tabley Green in Fulwood.
The company acquired an additional five acres of land next to its Tabley Green development on Lightfoot Lane earlier this year when planning permission was granted for the new phase.
The Orchards will feature a collection of 36 homes, including 11 affordable, homes, and work has already started on site.
The homes will go on sale early next year and the new phase will also include some of our largest house styles, not previously available at the location.
Sales director for Lancashire, Sian Pitt, said, post-lockdown, they had seen huge demand for homes in the Fulwood area as families look for more space and different layouts. "Post-lockdown, we've been closely monitoring consumer trends around what people want from their home and a recent survey we carried out showed that spacious living arrangements that offer functionality to adapt, spread out and create dedicated spaces for working, play and living are now at the forefront of Brits' minds.
"In the North West specifically, 40% of consumers aspire to live in a two-storey detached period style home with key features like a bay window, a front garden, large rear garden and dedicated parking for two cars side by side to the front of the home with a garage. I think this is why we've seen a surge in customers, because our homes offer all of this and more."
House styles at The Orchards at Tabley Green will include the three-bed semi-detached Letchworth, three-bed detached Oxford Lifestyle and Leamington Lifestyle and the four-bed detached Henley, Balmoral and Richmond.
