As part of their ongoing commitment to driving a truly inclusive culture where everyone is welcome, Sir Robert McAlpine (SRMcA) have signed the Inspiring Women in Construction Pledge launched by Construction News.

SRMcA have said that they are determined to lead on inclusion and inspire change across our industry and beyond.

The Inspiring Women in Construction Pledge is a Construction News initiative to encourage companies to prioritise equality, diversity and inclusion. The Pledge contributes to our ongoing commitment to strive for a more inclusive industry, improve business environments for women and champion equal representation on boards. 

By signing the Pledge, firms agree to support the initiatives and aspire to change in areas including:

• Attract, develop, and promote more women in our company and industry, and do this in a fair way;

• Close our Gender Pay Gap;

• Champion and recognise the achievements of women;

• Work collaboratively to create an environment that welcomes and helps retain women.
