Butlin's is to introduce a pioneering air purification system as part of extensive measures to ensure a safe reopening this summer.

The system, which is being fitted in event venues at Butlin's Bognor Regis resort, is being installed by Clenzair.

The Clenzair system purifies and decontaminates the air and can neutralise 99.99% of viruses, bacteria, gases, odours, mould and Volatile Organic Compounds, both in the air and on surfaces, creating a continuously, safe environment 24/7.

The technology used by Clenzair is already widely used in offices, schools, hospitals and other community spaces around the world. In the USA, Google, Harvard University and airports are among those who utilise the filtration technologies.

The pandemic has heightened demand for such systems and we're pleased that an iconic brand such as Butlin's is at the forefront of this development. Once we've had time to assess how the system operates in our large event spaces then we'll look at rolling it out at our other venues."
