Morrison Construction Building Central has scooped a £16million contract to renovate the Paisley Town Hall by Renfrewshire Council.
The project will see the historic building overhauled to provide what the Council hopes will become a major venue for arts and entertainment in the West of Scotland.
The original building, which is Category A listed, was constructed in 1882 and the current renovation programme is intended to revitalise the internal areas, increasing capacity in the main auditorium and improving the hospitality facilities, as well as creating a new dance studio.
Eddie Robertson, Managing Director of Morrison Construction Building Central, commented: "The Town Hall is a fantastic architectural landmark for Paisley and we are delighted to be working with Renfrewshire Council to turn it into a cultural landmark for people of the region as well."
