Construction firm Kier has completed work on a new resuscitation unit at the emergency department at Royal Cornwall Hospital in Treliske, Truro.
The new space offers first-class facilities that have been specifically built to meet the needs of patients and staff within this specialist unit. The new unit includes four bays and two Trauma Rooms as well as a workstation for staff.
Throughout this project, Kier and its local supply chain, stuck strictly to all Government guidance and complied with Site Operating Procedures.
Doug Lloyd, operations director for Kier Regional Building Western & Wales, said: "We are extremely proud to handover the new resuscitation unit to Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. Working collaboratively with the Trust, we have ensured this important space meets their needs and it can effectively help staff to treat patients.
"Over the course of the seven-month project we have worked with our valued local supply chain partners and utilised new technologies to showcase progression to the hospital team and also provide the local community with an insight in to this new facility."
