Newland Homes has secured an opportunity to redevelop a seven-acre brownfield site in Stroud.
The Daniels Industrial Estate is located between the Bath Road and Dudbridge Road, and is currently owned and managed by Industrial Sales Ltd.
Over the coming months, the Gloucester-based housebuilder will prepare a residential-led scheme to redevelop the site. There will be a period of public consultation before a planning application is submitted.
Andrew Billings, Land Director at Newland Homes, said: "This parcel of land is crying out for redevelopment and investment, and as such has been the subject of much interest for a long time.”"
The main buildings on the site are dilapidated and of poor quality and there are areas of contamination from years of heavy engineering. Working with the landowner and Stroud District Council, Newland Homes intends to bring the site into the 21st century with the provision of low carbon homes and the retention of quality, flexible office workspace.
