Kier Extends Partnership With Virgin Media

Virgin Media has named national contractor Kier as one of the successful firms on its new £2.5 billion framework.

The successful contractors will deliver vital telecoms infrastructure across the UK, supporting Virgin Media's ambitions to deliver gigabit broadband connections to over 15 million homes by the end of 2021.  

Kier has been reappointed to the framework on a four-year contract with a potential two-year extension, building on nearly 20 years of experience working with Virgin Media.

Starting in April, the firm carry out works for Virgin Media in Scotland, South London, South Coast and South East of England. Kier will also provide an innovative approach in line with Virgin Media's aim to enhance the experience given to its customers.


Barry McNicholas, group managing director at Kier Utilities & Rail, commented: "We are thrilled to continue our longstanding and successful relationship with Virgin Media.
