Multiplex has announced some key changes for its UK business which will see greater support for working parents.

New parental leave policies, which came into effect across the business in 2019, will see maternity leave extended to 39 weeks fully-paid. The company has also doubled its paid paternity leave period to four weeks, with additional options for those who wish to take shared parental leave.


These policies have been improved to help Multiplex focus on their work/life balance and strive to help break down the many barriers that working parents face.

On top of this, the firm is also implementing a 13-week flexible working period that allows returning parents to readjust to the workplace.

These new parental leave policies are the first outcome of Multiplex Respect, the company's diversity and inclusion committee that was launched last year to promote positive behavioural change and foster an inclusive workplace.
