FabricAir Draft-Free Solution For Holiday park

Construction News Image
When the swimming pool at the holiday park, Blauwe Meer in Lommel, Belgium, underwent renovation, FabricAir was tasked with tailoring a draft-free solution based on our corrosion-free technology, to ensuring a healthy hygienic comfort.

"FabricAir's air distribution system is only a part of the total system, but ultimately it's the part that ensures the correct distribution of fresh pre-treated air – there's no drafts that bothers the guests and there's no condensation on the windows." said Mr. Coppens, project manager of installation technology at Snoeks B.V.

Snoeks B.V. is a renowned installation company in Holland and Belgium with more then 60 years of experience in professional management of building-related installations. They have chosen to work with fabric-based air dispersion because the technology offers solutions to the shortcomings of conventional metal ducting in relation to pool facilities and other highly corrosive applications.

During the design phase, the air engineering experts from FabricAir® took into account all factors that relate to air dispersion through fabric ducts associated with a swimming pool facility. This is important because of the harsh, corrosive conditions that occur in the hot and humid pool area.

A fabric-based air dispersion solution if preferential, as the fibers do not corrode and because of the high precision airflows obtainable only with this technology. This also allows the system to direct some of the airstream toward the glass walls and roof thus preventing condensation, which would otherwise have led to unhealthy conditions and eventually could have caused rot and mold on the window frames, etc.

The system is made with a high-quality, flame-retardant, air-permeable fabric, named FabricAir® Combi 80. This fabric type is ideal for swimming pool facilities. It comes with a unique antimicrobial treatment, a 10-year warranty and the suspension is made with materials that are suitable in the highly corrosive swimming pool area.

The orange color of the ducts was specifically chosen by the client to jazz up the atmosphere in the pool area. FabricAir ducting offers multiple possibilities for customization, allowing the ductwork to blend in or stand out as desired.
