A new contract has been dished out by Staffordshire University for the development of its new Catalyst Building.
VINCI Construction has been awarded the £27m design and construct project to deliver the flagship centre for apprentices and digital skills.
The state-of-the-art facility will support students to study flexible degrees that meets their needs, those of employers and help students secure highly-skilled jobs.
The Catalyst building includes an Apprenticeships & Digital skills hub, a new library, social learning spaces, restaurant and café areas.
Michael Roadnight, Regional Director at VINCI Construction UK, said: "We're delighted to be appointed on the Catalyst Building project, which will provide a fantastic facility for employers and apprentices in the Midlands. VINCI's team are looking forward to working with the University of Staffordshire and Mace on this exciting flagship project."
Mace will serve as overall Project Managers and project Quantity Surveyors with Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios (FCBS) appointed as Architects. Momentum has been appointed as Structural Engineers.
The new Catalyst Building is set for completion in June 2021.
