Galliford Try's Highways business has secured a spot on a new £2 billion framework.

The company was one of eight contractors appointed to the new YORcivil major works framework, which will be accessible to all local authorities across Yorkshire and Humber as well as the Sheffield Local Enterprise Partnership region that includes Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Through the framework, contractors will deliver schemes over £10m which primarily include maintenance and construction of new highways, bridges and public realm works, as well as flood alleviation schemes, integrated transport hubs and associated works.

Bill Hocking, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, commented: "This appointment underlines the strategic importance and standing of our highways business. The YORcivil major works framework runs for a four-year term with the option of a two-year extension.
