Residents of Wales are set to benefit from greater Yanmar plant hire fleet options courtesy of a £1.5 million investment.
The company's approved dealer for Wales, Phoenix Hire and Sales has added the Yanmar SV08, SV16, VIO17, SV18, VIO27, SV26, VIO38, VIO50 and VIO80 to its fleet, alongside the B95W wheeled excavator and C30R3TV tracked carrier.
The largest independent hire and sales business in Wales, Phoenix employs more than 80 members of staff across five depots in Cardiff, Cwmbran, Bridgend, Pontypridd and Swansea.
Investing in expanding its hire fleet comes as part of a corporate drive to increase access to the latest and most efficient compact plant equipment for operators across South Wales and the surrounding areas. The state-of-the-art models, which arrived at depots in November, will be used for a wide variety of rental applications including landscaping, utilities, recycling, agriculture, forestry and building work.
Jason Derraven, Group Sales Director at Phoenix Hire and Sales, commented: "At Phoenix, we work with hundreds of businesses – from national contractors and housebuilders to independent landscapers and owner-operators. Our equipment is put to work in a host of demanding environments, making durability, reliability and rental-tough design essential for job site success.
"Investing in the latest compact models from Yanmar ensures our fleet exceeds the high expectations of our clients. Designed with performance and efficiency in mind, the class-leading range delivers an optimum solution for every jobsite application."
David Cockayne, Area Sales Manager UK/IRL at Yanmar CEE, added: "As one of our largest UK equipment dealers, we're delighted that Phoenix Hire and Sales has chosen to invest in numerous models from across Yanmar's compact portfolio to further expand its plant hire fleet.
"When designing and building our machines, we aim to create the most reliable, safe, robust equipment available. As such, we're confident that this sizable investment will add a new dimension to Phoenix's growing rental offer."
