Morrison Construction has been celebrated as one of the UK's leading contractors at the recent Education Buildings Scotland awards.
The Galliford Try Scottish building business was awarded accolades for Contractor and Project of the Year at the ceremony earlier this week, 27 November.
The £32m West Calder High School project was the successful winner in the project category, holding off competition from another Morrison project, Newbattle High School, while Morrison claimed the contractor prize ahead of the likes of Morgan Sindall, BAM construction and Robertsons.
Ian Jubb, Galliford Try's Managing Director for Building, commented: "Education has been a very successful sector for our business in recent years and Morrison Construction has been a major part of that. Throughout Scotland we have an excellent track record of working with the Hub procurement vehicles and local authorities to deliver high quality facilities from small local primaries to large community education hubs that make a real difference to students and teachers."
