Kier has been appointed to all 20 Lots of the brand new four-year £8bn Procure Partnerships Framework.
Split into 10 regions with two value bands (£4m-£12m and £12m+) for each region, the Lots have been established nationwide to ensure flexibility for public sector bodies to procure contractor partners and choose a direct appointment, single stage or two stage procurement option.
The framework has been piloted in the North West since July 2018 through the Procure North West Framework, of which Kier was appointed on two value Lots; projects valued between £5m-£15m and projects valued between £15m to £25m.
Neil Pates, managing director of strategic framework and alliances at Kier, said: "Being appointed to all 20 Lots of the Procure Partnerships Framework is great news for us at Kier. Approximately 65% of our work in Kier Construction is procured through long-term frameworks and we continue to deliver exciting projects through these.
"We look forward to working on this new and exciting framework, which will give our clients a modern and flexible way of procuring public sector work nationally."
Robbie Blackhurst, framework director at Procure Partnerships, said: "Kier has been a partner on the North West pilot region of the Procure Partnerships Framework for the past year and we are delighted that it has secured a place on 20 lots of the national roll out. The Kier regional delivery model with national governance aligns perfectly with the Procure Partnerships Framework and we are looking forward to further developing the relationship over the next four years."
This latest framework appointment for Kier follows on from the news that it has been appointed to 18 sub-Lots on the £30bn Crown Commercial Services (CCS) framework. The seven-year, brand-new framework is a major new procurement agreement which will help shape public sector construction.
