Wates Living Space has enhanced its framework portfolio with a place on the South East Consortium (SEC) Internal & External Building Works Framework.
The four-year framework offers public sector organisations OJEU-compliant access to a range of planned maintenance services, offering customers the options of either mini-tender or direct award.
The housing maintenance provider has been named on five lots including: Major Refurbishments over £1m (Lot 1b); Kitchens & Bathrooms (Lot 2); Windows & Doors(Lot 3); and Flat & Pitched Roofing (Lot 4a & 4b).
Wates Living Space ranked first on price and quality combined for Lot 1b, Lot 2 and Lots 4a & 4b, which allows clients to appoint the firm directly without the need for a further competition from the framework.
David Morgan, Managing Director of Wates Property Services, commented: "We are extremely proud to have secured a position on SEC's leading framework and to be joining a team that shares in our solutions-driven approach to quality customer care.
"The Wates Living Space team prides itself on its commitment to providing friendly, professional and expert services tailored to our clients' needs. This ethos underpins everything that we do and we look forward to working in partnership with SEC to deliver an exceptional service to our customers."
Marc Baines, Managing Director of SEC, added: "We're delighted for Wates and look forward to building a great working relationship with them on behalf of our Members. The outgoing framework saw £111m of contract awards – so this is a fantastic opportunity with a new model to see if we can deliver even more savings for the sector and beyond."
