The Property Care Association has strengthened its Board with two new members.
Ben Hickman and Bob Massey have joined the ten-strong leadership team of the national trade body.
Ben is the technical director of CSSW London Waterproofing Specialists, while Bob is the head of Bob Massey Associates, specialist independent building preservation surveyors.
Ben said: "The PCA has a rare and important insight into construction in the UK.
"The wealth of experience and knowledge members have gained throughout decades of honouring long-term guarantees related to the major cause of damage to buildings is hugely valuable.
"I'm passionate about seeing the PCA contribute to professional design and construction in the built environment with increasing authority and, if the Association is recognised as it should be, buildings in the UK will have fewer dampness-related problems, last longer and have a lower contribution on climate change.
"I therefore feel we have a lot to contribute to policy making and best practice guidance."
Bob added: "The current management team has taken the PCA to a whole new level since the early days of its forerunner organisations.
"We now have a high-profile organisation of which I am proud to be a member."
