Pick Everard has released the sixth episode of its new Perspective podcast series.
The latest episode focused on 'Valued Partnerships' and looks at how to develop successful industry partnerships and what it means to work in true collaboration.
It features Keith Prendergast, director at Pick Everard, and Gary Johnson, managing director at sport and leisure specialist architecture practice LK2 Group.
Keith said: "Partnerships really are the way forward in terms of addressing the construction industry's productivity challenges and creating an upskilled and efficient workforce.
"The definition of a 'partnership' isn't one firm simply 'using' another. It's all about sharing opportunities that benefit both firms and, ultimately, the client.
"The idea of a mutually beneficial partnership is still quite a new concept in the industry. For a long time, the construction industry has been competitive, with firms fighting against one another. But, through mutually beneficial partnerships, we now have the opportunity to develop and progress together."
Gary Johnson added: "We all need to learn from one another. Everyone wants to deliver successful projects and open, honest partnerships are the way to do that.
"Through our relationship with Pick Everard, we've successfully secured a place on a national framework, delivering work for a client we've been working with for almost 10 years. There are opportunities for everyone to progress through partnerships."
