Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has strengthened its team in Central and South England with a new Head of Operations for Construction Finance. 

Experienced invoice finance specialist Alberto Argentieri will take on the role. He joins the company following a three-and-a-half year stint as Regional Operations Manager at Skipton Business Finance Ltd.

Alberto also spent 12 years at HSBC, joining as a Graduate Trainee and moving up through the business to become Corporate Client Director.

In his new role, Alberto will lead a team of four Relationship Managers based in BFS's headquarters in Banbury, Oxfordshire. He will focus on further developing the firm's established construction finance offering. 

Speaking of his appointment, Alberto said: "I'm delighted to join BFS, particularly at this critical time for the construction sector. The sector has been hit by declining orders, skills shortages and some instability following the collapse of Carillion in 2018, so it's now more important than ever that we provide subcontracting businesses with the support they need. As a funder providing specialist funding for the sector for 15 years, we're best placed to support these businesses to grow in 2019 and beyond."
