A major residential development in London's Fitzrovia is set to move forward with contractor McLaren.

The national construction firm will deliver the £190 million project on behalf of a joint venture between Art-Invest Real Estate UK; the German real estate developer ECE; and Dukelease Properties.

When complete, the development will feature 88 luxury apartments, 35,000 sq ft of commercial space and 15 affordable housing units.

The scheme is targeting 'BREEAM Excellent' accreditation. Demolition and substructure works on the island site are being carried out by Erith.

Main construction works are due to start early next year with completion scheduled in 2021.
