JJ Rhatigan has been chosen as the main contractor for a £280million scheme in Luton.
Strawberry Star Homes selected the company for phase 1 of Lu2on, an award-winning mixed-use development in Luton.
Located on the site of the former Vauxhall Motors factory, Lu2on will provide over 850suites, one and two-bedroom apartments and first-class facilities such as private roof gardens and 24-hour concierge. Spread over 6.9 acres, 400 high-quality apartments will be built under phase 1, due for completion in Q2 2021.
Initial construction work commenced at the end of June, with site preparation works now underway.
Santhosh Gowda, Chairman, Chairman at Strawberry Star Group, said: "Lu2on is a transformational project, which will significantly contribute to the local economy in one of the top performing towns for house price growth and entrepreneurial investment. We are offering London lifestyle homes and amenities in Luton and we believe that JJ Rhatigan is the right partner to realise our volume housing vision."
Tom Neylon, JJ Rhatigan’s Regional Director, said: "We are very proud to be working with Strawberry Star Homes delivering the first phase of this significant award-winning development, and setting the standard for the subsequent phases of the project."
