BMI Healthcare Reduces Carbon Footprint With New Office

Construction News Image
Mace Interiors has completed another fit out project in London, allowing UK private hospital group BMI Healthcare to move into a new facility.

The new offices at 30 Cannon Street, between St Pauls Cathedral and Bank Station, will help BMI reduce its carbon footprint. The development will also see all corporate departments working together on one level, over 11,688 sq ft of space, with an improved layout designed to optimise a positive working environment.

The availability of new technologies and systems has changed how BMI Healthcare staff can work – using shared workspaces, flexible meeting areas and informal spaces to support working in ad-hoc teams.

The head office teams include information technology, human resources, finance, public relations and communications, national and digital marketing, clinical support, analysis, supply chain, procurement, legal and business operations. Unlike the previous head office arrangement, people in each department now have clear sight to the others on one floor, with associated reduction in silo working to provide a stronger matrix of support for BMI's hospitals and clinics in England, Scotland and Wales.

Managing Director of Mace Interiors, Stewart Ward said: "Wellbeing and sustainability were at the heart of our plan for BMI's new office fit out. The interior layout and design are aimed at creating a great and positive environment for BMI's corporate teams and we are delighted to have made such a positive contribution to BMI's workspace vision."
