National developer Sladen Estates has appointed Carl Ward as its new projects director.

Carl, who has over 15 years experience in the industry, has led large-scale capital construction projects across the UK.

In his new role, he will be responsible for providing a construction viewpoint when assessing development viability for new projects, and for the delivery of all on-site construction projects for Sladen Estates.

Carl said: "I'm thrilled to be joining the Sladen Estates team. Having worked in operational roles on both the contractor and client side, I'm really looking forward to this new position giving me the opportunity to use my expertise to influence projects in the development environment."

Nick Sladen, chief executive of Sladen Estates, added: "Carl's experience and specialisms mean that he has a well-rounded understanding of how projects progress from all sides and we're delighted to have him in the team.

"We're very much looking forward to working with Carl on our existing and future schemes as they start on site covering a range of sectors."
