The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) has raided Make UK for its new Chief Executive.
Current Make UK Chief Operating Officer, Caroline Gumble will take on the role, replacing the retiring Chris Blythe.
She joins the professional body with experience in the UK and overseas, covering several of the CIOB's key operating areas, including management of apprentice and technical training and open course and bespoke training programmes development.
For Make UK, Caroline led the commercial services division, with a focus on lifelong learning for the manufacturing sector, health, safety and sustainability, and cyber security services.
Speaking about her new appointment, Caroline said: "I'm looking forward to taking up the role of CEO. The CIOB has a long and proud history in an important industry. I want to continue upholding the Institute's public benefit mission and promote best practice and high quality in building and construction."
Caroline will begin her new role as CEO of the CIOB on 07 August 2019.
