McLaren Construction has been recognised for its excellence in health and safety with a Gold award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards recognise achievement in health and safety management systems, and practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

The company was specifically awarded for its achievements in helping its colleagues and subcontractors get home safely at the end of each working day.

Alan Blanchett, McLaren Group SHEQ Director, said: "We are incredibly proud to have won the Gold award for a second year running. Our Work Safe, Home Safe campaign within McLaren is really gaining momentum and helping us to continually improve our health and safety performance. It's great that this has been recognised by RoSPA."

The majority of awards are non-competitive and mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Gold medals, president's awards, orders of distinction and the Patron's Award are presented to organisations sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years.
