Balfour Beatty's Multicultural Affinity Network has been recognised as the firm grabbed the 2019 'Inspiring Change in the Workplace' award.

The Multicultural Affinity Network aims to ensure the business understands cultural experiences and provides an open platform for employees to bring their own unique perspective to the development of the business’s working culture.

The Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) Inspiring Change awards construction and infrastructure companies which have created a more inclusive and diverse culture, recognising those who have prioritised Diversity and Inclusion.


As well as its new network, Balfour Beatty was also recognised for its Reverse Mentoring programme and Inclusive Leadership training.

Paul Raby, Balfour Beatty's Group Human Resources Director, said: "It is imperative that companies recruit and retain a workforce reflective of the society in which they operate – a diverse range of skills and expertise is critical to the successful delivery of any construction or infrastructure project.
