A joint venture team comprising BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall and VolkerFitzpatrick (BMV) has secured a prize for 'Inspiring Change'.
The BMV team won the Inspiring Change in the Workplace category at CECA's (Civil Engineering Contractors Association) annual Inspiring Change Awards. They were celebrated for the work they have been doing to create an open and inclusive culture amongst the team.
The JV is currently delivering the UK's largest concrete repair works to the M5 Oldbury Viaduct.
At the same ceremony, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure's, Nuclear, Energy, Water team won the Inspiring Change in the Community category for the engagement work they have developed in Cumbria to engage and support local people and businesses to build economic prosperity for those within the region. The BMV JV was also shortlisted in the category.
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure's managing director, Simon Smith said: "Congratulations to the project teams on their outstanding achievement. Our projects are about so much more than the work being undertaken. For us, working with our communities to achieve economic growth and being part of a positive legacy is at the heart of what we do and these are two great examples."
The awards are part of the CECA Inspiring Change Conference, which brings together a range of inspirational speakers from diverse backgrounds, including politicians, industry stakeholders, and representatives from a wide range of sectors.
