Mears Group has secured a contract worth over £46 million to deliver gas services across the Midlands and the East of England.
Partnering with Longhurst Group, which owns and manages over 22,000 homes, the firm will deliver gas breakdown, gas servicing and gas installations to domestic and commercial premises.
The 10-year contract will span servicing and safety certification work, maintenance and repair, boiler replacements and heating system breakdowns.
Colin Middlemas, Chief Operating Officer of Mears Housing commented: "This deal with one of the largest housing providers in the Midlands and East of England is the start of what will be a fantastic partnership. Combining Mears' 30 year experience delivering housing services to local authorities and housing associations; and Longhurst Group's vision to improve the lives of all tenants, we know we can deliver the best for all of our customers."
Mears will begin the new contract in July.
The firm will also work with Longhurst Group to support apprenticeships, training, work experience placements and other projects in the local communities.
