The National Asssociation of Shopfitters (NAS) has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of a new President and Vice President.
The association, which represents the interests of almost 250 interior fit-out contractors throughout Britain and Northern Ireland, announced the appointments during its AGM in London.
Tekne Shopfitting's Marc Allen joins as the new NAS President and Marcon Fit-out Business Development and Marketing Manager, Alan Stewart will serve as Vice President.
Marc Allen said: "It is an honour to have been selected as the President of the National Association of Shopfitters in this its Centenary Year.
"I look forward to working with the Vice President, Alan Stewart, our new Director, James Filus and the Council as we enter an exciting time for the NAS.
"Having grown with the association from my first encounter as an apprentice who won both the Regional and National Apprentice Design Competition in 2001, I have experienced first-hand the collective support, genuine interest and encouragement from numerous members and peers from within an industry who themselves have played a huge part in its evolution. My aim is to encourage this further to bring the association together representing the very best Shopfitting and Interior companies within the UK."
Alan Stewart added: "Being a long-time supporter of the NAS and having served on the Council for a number of years it is rewarding to be able to represent Marcon Fit-out in this capacity and I look forward to working closely with our President, new Director, members and associate members over the coming years."
The NAS celebrates its centenary in 2019. It has 246 members, all of whom work in the interior fit-out sector. Its core purposes are to facilitate networking, the provision of a comprehensive portfolio of subsidised training and to drive up professional standards.
