Major Milestone Celebrated On Wembley Park Homes In London

A major construction milestone has been reached on the development of 633 new homes just off Olympic Way in London.

Developed by Quintain, the properties comprise 381 Build to Rent (BTR) homes and 252 homes from a range of affordable tenures.

The developer celebrated the topping out of the development on plots E01 and E02 with property manager Tipi.

Wates Construction is leading the construction work for the project under a £161.5 million contract - the largest the firm has ever secured on a single site.

The apartments will feature state of the art residential living, with interiors and residents lounges by Fossey Arora and partnerships with Samsung, Kohler and John Lewis to supply appliances, brassware and furniture.

The homes, which will neighbour a brand new seven-acre park, will have access to private communal landscaped gardens, as well as a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). The building will also include a 30,000 sq ft fitness club, storage for 572 bicycles, 193 car bays and a children's nursery at ground level. The homes will be connected to Wembley Park's district heating and fibre optic networks and all residents will benefit from Envac, a sustainable waste management system proven to increase recycling rates and improve local air quality through a reduction of refuse collection vehicle trips.

This development will form part of the entire Wembley Park BTR site, which is on track to be the largest in the UK.

In addition to the 750 homes coming to Wembley Park this year, the estate will welcome Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, 115,000 sq ft of office space and a range of new retailers including the recently announced Wembley Park Market and independent bakery and baking school, Bread Ahead.

Matt Voyce, Executive Director of Construction at Quintain commented:

"Today marks a significant milestone for us, with the topping out of 633 new homes at Wembley Park. This construction milestone demonstrates the scale and pace at which we are building across the site, transforming Wembley Park into London's newest and most exciting neighbourhood."

Richard Shroll, Managing Director at Wates Residential London, commented:

"We are delighted to have developed a longstanding relationship with Quintain and I'm delighted to be here today celebrating the progress made so far, on this phase of the regeneration of Wembley Park.

"The topping out of E01/E02 at Wembley Park is not only a significant milestone for everyone involved with the project, but for the surrounding community here in Wembley. I'm extremely proud of the Wates team and supply chain partners for their focus and dedication in continually and successfully delivering residential schemes."
