Amey Consulting has been recognised for its public sector work at a major UK awards ceremony.
The company won best 'Performance Improvement in the Public Sector' at the Management Consultancies Association Awards 2019.
Alongside Network Rail, the firm led a transformation in how stations work to reduce delays. The project delivered a 40% reduction in delays within the first month of rolling out changes to stations, giving a better passenger experience and an initial net saving of £7 million over 10 years.
Nicola Hindle, Managing Director of Amey's Consulting and Rail business said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have won this industry leading award for our project with Network Rail. Our innovative approach had to be focused on a 'data led' consulting input, utilising our broad knowledge of experienced railway operators, engineers and asset managers. Our practical consulting approach, embedding ourselves with the operational teams, using advanced data analytics, and driving end-to-end change in a way that visualised the problem and allowed our clients to support and then take over from us."
